Job Summary:
A quality engineer (Continuous Improvement Engineer) responsible for the execution of DMAIC projects, driving data-driven improvements, mentoring Green & Yellow Belts, and mitigating impediments. Operating under the direction of a Champion, they manage the scope of the project, team dynamics, and technical analysis to attain quantifiable financial or operational outcomes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) projects to achieve specific cost-saving and quality goals.
- Data Analysis & Tools: Utilize Six Sigma tools (statistical analysis, root cause analysis, Kaizen) to identify inefficiencies and validate improvements.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between project sponsors (Champions) and team members, mediating conflict and reducing resistance.
- Team Development: Coach, train, and mentor Green Belts, Yellow Belts, and team members in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create project charters, document process improvements, and present progress/results to leadership.
- Controlling the KPI of the quality assurance department.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from a recognized body (e.g., ASQ, IASSC).
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Minimum of five years of experience in electronics manufacturing, specifically with cable assembly or interconnect solutions.
- Advanced skills in Minitab or similar statistical software.
- Ability to influence engineering and production staff to adopt new workflows.
- Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting, documentation, and collaboration. Excellent verbal, read and written communication skills in Indonesian and English language, Mandarin is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Experience with high-speed data transmission standards and testing protocols (e.g., signal integrity, impedance testing).
- Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
- Certified internal auditor of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 13485 is a plus.
- A keen eye for detail is crucial for identifying defects and ensuring accuracy.
