Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brebes, Central Java Province, for a Quality and Production Engineer. The primary responsibilities include managing all quality and production affairs in Indonesia factory SHT. You will work closely with Industrialization Engineer, and Production Teams to ensure factories production and delivery as per scheduled. You educate suppliers with Salomon business needs and objectives, maintains a positive factory relationship via day-to-day communication and positive participation. You will actively coordinate and successful fulfil the assigned Transfer projects from the Indus source to receiving source, and work closely with HQ quality team for quality topics. Candidates with more experience will be considered as Assistant Quality & Production Manager.
- Ensure Salomon footwear quality requirement is fully respected and objective met in assigned factory
- Ensure Salomon delivery objective is met in assigned factory
- Ensure products are industrialized (commercialized) and manufactured in mass production in accordance with design, Fit and specification requirements.
- Focus on Tech packages transfer after IES stage PASS and go through Preview/SMS/ TES /FES/ FSR to Production trial and bulk production successfully.
- FST tracking from SMS stage and FTR tracking from TES stage. Ensure fitting samples quality same as 1st source.
- Provide suggestions for improvement (or problem solving) in technical procedure or equipment selection & set up in pursuing for i) secure consistency of production quality & lead time, ii) cost minimize and/or iii) simplify the production process.
- Organize teardown meetings in different stages and provide reports to Senior regularly.
- Close monitor 1st production of new models in production factories or 1st production of existing models on new lines through material swatch control to final inspection, to ensure SOP and quality requirement/standards fully respected and right 1st time on 1st production
- Daily audit on incoming material inspection, lab test, manufacturing process and final inspection control to ensure Salomon quality requirement/standard fully understood, respected and met, and factories quality system working well.
- Close collaboration with PPP team and factories to ensure accurate and timely communication of order status and production issues.
- Works with factories and manager closely to improve quality and manufacturing efficiencies through weekly / monthly KPI
- Uphold Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the supply chain: i) By working closely with the Salomon Global Sustainability Team with regards to ensuring the continuous improvement of our responsible purchasing practices. ii) By working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building (at least annually)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree holder, preferably in industrial engineering or industrial management related field
- 5 years or above experience in Quality and in relevant industry
- Formal training on ISO 9000 Quality System Auditor is preferred
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Good computer skills in MS Office and SPC tools
