QA/QC Engineer

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of HDPE piping fabrication activities and project deliverables with applicable standards, customer requirements, project specifications, and the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

The role covers quality inspection, project quality documentation, material traceability, testing, customer/third-party inspections, NCR and corrective action management, and continuous quality improvement. The position will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Project teams to ensure consistent achievement of project quality requirements.

Ensure fabrication activities comply with ISO 9001, applicable HDPE piping standards, project specifications, and customer requirements.
Review and monitor project quality requirements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Project Quality Plans (PQP), Method Statements, and other quality documents.
Prepare, review, and maintain Manufacturing Data Records (MDR), Quality Dossiers, inspection records, and related project documentation.
Conduct and monitor quality inspections covering HDPE pipe and fitting fabrication, material traceability, dimensional inspection, fusion activities, pressure testing, and final inspection.
- Coordinate customer inspections, third-party inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and internal/external quality audits.
- Monitor quality performance and NCR trends, conduct root cause analysis, and follow up corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure effective implementation and closure of NCR, CAR, and PAR, including the application of RCA tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Analysis.
- Interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings, P&IDs, shop fabrication drawings, and project specifications to support quality inspection activities.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Project teams to resolve quality issues and ensure project requirements are consistently achieved.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong quality culture within the organization.
- Utilize SAP QM or equivalent quality management systems for quality-related activities, where applicable.
