QA Manager will be the first full-time employee in the Quality department. As a result, you will initially be working directly alongside manufacturing personnel to introduce work instructions, provide training and support at every level of manufacturing. Active hands-on QA Manager who will spend time in Tobacco manufacturing to ensure quality is number one.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Manage and oversee quality of Manufacturing policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure product produced attain a high degree of customer satisfaction
- Develop standardized production, quality and Customer service standards
- Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focussing on root cause analysis and Risk-Based Analysis
- Perform Internal and External Quality Audits and compile detailed report of findings
- Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations
- Manage Quality KPIs (Visual Quality, Physical Quality, Complaints, Infestation Pest Management, Chemical & Sensory Quality) and propose recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement QEHS Integrated management System and ensure alignment with global requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments related to new Product launches, Set-up quality plan and specifications
- Developing Product Specs to adequately capture Customer Requirements and manufacturing capabilities
- Lead and coordinate the Quality Compliance and harmonization in the Testing Labs and Government Departments/Authorities supporting the development and manufacture of any new Product
- Able to manage a Team of Quality, Validation, Audit and Lab system support
- Ensure QA teamwork in a compliant manner and in accordance with GMPs and SOPs.
- Read and understand Standard Operation Procedures applicable to role.
- Budgeting Manpower, Equipment, Spare parts, consumables optimally.
- Provide motivational and effective leadership for team members.
- Organize training of QA team & Production Teams on Key Quality Concepts in accordance with GLP and SOPs
- Ensure CI Lab teamwork in a compliant manner and in accordance with GLP and SOPs.
- Ensure reliability of QA instrument
- Able to Support Product Development Team by conducting Trials, provide inputs from time to time to help freeze Product Specs
- To lead the development of the local quality strategy, to support and implement the Global strategy.
- To develop and implement: best practices, common platforms, sharing experience/knowledge with other functions and factories within Operations.
- Supervise, facilitate, and control the handling of customer/consumer complaints and Non-Conforming Products (NCP).
- To ensure the new products and processes qualification for new technologies, materials and equipment as per global standards
- Control & Supervise Factory wide Change Management actions
REQUIREMENTS:
- It will be good to have someone from Cigarette Industry with basic knowledge of whole process from Seed to Smoke
- Must be knowledgeable at application of Statistics, Problem solving skills
- Must be trained on ISO systems
- Master in Problems solving tools, understanding of key concepts of Six Sigma / 8D /FMEA processes is added advantage
- Is a critical thinker who proactively works to improve the Quality systems of the company through Internal Audits, participation in Process Improvement programs, and interaction with key stakeholders to obtain constructive feedback
- Have Good Leadership & Experiences to Manage Team above 3040-member crew.
- Understand Overall Process n Tobacco Industry, including Incoming NTM & Tobacco, Primary & Secondary Process, Primary & Secondary QA Process, CI Lab etc.
- Have Troubleshooting Capabilities to Solve Internal & External Issues with good Problem-solving capabilities and knowledge to drive Improvement actions, able to conduct audits
- Have Capability to Manage Internal & External Stakeholders.
