Job Description:
Quality Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to and execute the QA strategy, ensuring alignment with product goals, customer expectations, and quality standards.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to understand requirements, assess risks, and prioritize QA activities.
Team Collaboration and Mentorship
- Support and mentor QA team members (Associate and Non-Associate), sharing best practices, tools, and testing methodologies.
- Provide ongoing feedback and assist in skill development through knowledge sharing and coaching.
Process Improvement and Automation
- Design, maintain, and continuously improve testing processes and frameworks.
- Actively contribute to and expand automated test coverage to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration and ensure testing is embedded within the delivery process.
Quality Metrics and Reporting
- Track and analyze quality metrics such as defect trends, test coverage, and release readiness.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and quality status clearly to stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure quality is considered throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, representing the QA perspective.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields
- At least 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or related roles
- Experience leading or mentoring QA engineers or testing teams is highly preferred
- Practical experience in both manual and automated testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, Jest, or similar
- Solid understanding of testing concepts including functional, regression, performance, security, and scalability testing
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a complex, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder environment
