Compensation & Commitment

* Talent Rate: $300 / task (A task takes between 5–10 hours; the expectation is that the talent completes it in 6 hours.)

* Availability: Talent can work flexible hours but must complete and get approved a minimum of 1 task per day.

About the Role

We are staffing a frontier AI data initiative that requires strong software engineers to build the infrastructure and training data used to develop and evaluate AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned track, the engineer will:

* Build Python Backend Applications: Replicate existing SaaS tools (such as Slack, Linear, Jira, Notion, Gmail, and wikis), including implementing integrations and standing up full-service backend functionality.

* Backend Testing & Integration Validation: Perform thorough testing to ensure each connector behaves faithfully like the system it emulates.

* Maintain & Build Connectors: Adapt and extend previously built connectors, test existing connectors internally before completion, and build new connectors from scratch within agreed timeframes.

* Task & Data Mining: Conduct data and task mining to identify representative workflows suitable for long-horizon task development; author realistic tasks derived from mined data and workflows.

* Quality Assurance & Rubric Creation: Verify task/data quality, realism, and correctness through structured QA; write clear evaluation rubrics defining correct, partially correct, and deficient work.

* AI Tool Integration: Use AI coding agents proficiently throughout all development, QA, and validation work.

* Collaboration & Quality Standards: Collaborate across connectors and tasks tracks; participate in onboarding, calibration, and quality-review cycles to deliver work meeting quality bars and milestones.

Requirements

Must-Have Required Skills

* Experience: Minimum 3+ years of overall backend software development experience.

* Frameworks & Tools: Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).

* Infrastructure: Proficiency with Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup.

* Architecture: Experience building scalable backend applications, REST APIs, and microservices.

* AI Coding Assistants: Proficiency using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude / Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in daily workflows.

* Engineering Standards: Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (version control, testing, code quality).

* Soft Skills: Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with attention to detail, ability to work independently in distributed teams, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.

* Documentation: A LinkedIn profile link on the resume is mandatory for review.

Nice-to-Have

* Experience building connectors or integrations for SaaS platforms.

* Knowledge of evaluation frameworks, QA methodologies, and rubric creation for AI datasets.

* Experience developing realistic workflows for long-horizon AI tasks.
