We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (Application) to lead, plan, and execute various software and application development projects within the banking/financial services industry. This role is fully responsible for the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)—from business requirements gathering and coordinating with development/QA teams, to successfully deploying applications into the production environment. You will ensure that all developed applications meet strict banking security standards, regulatory compliance, and are delivered on time with minimal operational risk.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management & Banking Application Delivery
- Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of application development projects (such as web, mobile banking, or core banking integration modules) from initiation to formal handover
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definitions, detailed timelines/milestones, technical resource allocation, and budget tracking
- Coordinate smooth application deployment and release processes across business users, development teams, infrastructure, and IT security units
2. Team Coordination & Backlog Management
- Act as an effective bridge of communication between banking business units (Product Owners/Business Analysts) and technical teams (Developers, UI/UX, QA, and DevOps)
- Facilitate requirement grooming and feature prioritization to keep up with changing banking business needs
- Oversee rigorous testing phases, ensuring comprehensive System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) are completed successfully by the respective banking users
3. Compliance, Risk & Documentation Management
- Ensure all application architectures and development processes comply with central bank regulations (e.g., OJK, Bank Indonesia rules) and financial data security standards
- Proactively identify technical risks, integration bottlenecks with legacy banking systems, or potential timeline delays, and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Manage scope changes through a formal change control process and ensure all technical project artifacts (such as BRD, FSD, and TSD) are properly documented and maintained
Job Requirement
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a proven track record of delivering application development or implementation projects within the banking or financial services industry
- Technical Competency (Must-Have
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies
- Familiarity with banking technology ecosystems, such as API integrations, microservices architecture, secure transaction processing, or core database system
- Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello, or MS Project) to track and monitor project progres
Soft Skill
- Strong leadership capabilities to drive technical engineering squads and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various banking departmen
- Excellent problem-solving skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to perform well under pressure with tight deployment deadline
- Certifications (Nice-to-Have): PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant IT project management certification
