Job Description

What will you work on

• Work with vendors and Headquarter on the product design to hit the target cost.
• Carry out product development, engineering, and debug to meet product specifications and aesthetic requirements.
• Handle the consigned material, and special components sourcing and cost negotiation.
• Provide technical support and debug as needed on consigned materials.
• Provide support to internal groups on any production output issues and material authorization review.
• Monitor the schedule and provide on-site support from development start to OSD.
• Provide manufacturing support as needed after Production Start.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as requested.

What are your skills and experience

• At least 5-8 years experience in the toy industry or consumer electronics products and handled project independently for at least 5 years.
• Knowledge in the toy industry standards for different countries.
• Able to make frequent trips to other cities as required.
• Able to review 3D CAD file and working model and conduct DFM DFA to ensure product can be manufactured in the required quality, cost, and lead time.
• Understand plastic injection mold, casting mold construction and molding parameters.
• Able to troubleshoot injection molding defects and provide corrective actions.
• Understand surface decoration like spray painting, tampo printing, heat transfer, DIJ.
• Understand assembly process like ultrasonic welding, gluing, heat staking, automation.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skill and root cause analysis skill.
• Proactive, flexible, a good team player and result-oriented.
• Communications skills in English is a must and Mandarin/ Cantonese is an added advantage.
