Yayasan Amanah Daya Nusantara (AYANA) is a non-profit organisation building practical, long-term responses to sustainability through Indonesia's own values: gotong royong, khalifah, Pancasila, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Faith institutions are Indonesia's most trusted social infrastructure, and AYANA works through them to drive credible, community-rooted initiatives.
AYANA is part of the global Our Common Home (OCH) network and is developing two programmes:
- Desa Berdaya, Tani Amanah – a village-led ecosystem for sustainable agriculture and forest protection
- Interfaith Community Initiative – building a structured coalition bridging faith networks, policy, community needs, and financing
Purpose of the Role
Act as the operational nerve center within AYANA, coordinating cross-partner initiatives and ensuring alignment between stakeholders, program teams, and strategic objectives.
The role includes:
- Project management, programme monitoring, and structured reporting
- Frequent field travel
- Applying baseline research and value-based segmentation to guide programme design and evaluation
Year 1 focus: Establish AYANA's legitimacy as a trusted integrator, activate the interfaith ecosystem, and generate early proof-of-concept through co-created pilot initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Design & Coalition Building
- Lead design and implementation of interfaith sustainable agriculture and community programmes
- Map and activate coalitions of faith institutions, village governments, farmer cooperatives, CSOs, and policy actors
- Develop a shared narrative toolkit linking faith, Pancasila, gotong royong, and stewardship
- Launch co-created pilot initiatives demonstrating practical, values-rooted engagement
Campaign Design & Communications
- Design campaigns around community concerns – livelihoods, health, food security, and dignity
- Oversee content across sermons, farmer field schools, village convenings, and social media
- Collaborate with media, cultural platforms, and influencers to amplify narratives
- Support structured dialogues and joint visibility events
Coordination & Learning
- Manage core partnerships and coordinate across programme streams
- Lead MEL framework design, document learnings, and represent AYANA externally
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- 7+ years in programme management, campaign design, ecosystem coordination, or alliance management
- Demonstrated experience in faith-based/interfaith contexts and/or agriculture/food systems/rural development in Indonesia
- Strong project management and multi-partner coordination skills
- Ability to produce monitoring reports and synthesize field insights
- Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and verbal)
Desirable
- Experience in environmental, sustainability, or conservation sectors in Indonesia
- Existing relationships with faith institutions, CSO networks, or government actors
- Familiarity with values-based segmentation, audience research, or narrative strategy
- Background in Islamic studies, theology, or religious education
