JOB PURPOSE
Manage the production and manufacturing of pipes and fittings in a safe and efficient manner so that production targets are achieved with minimum waste that meet quality standards and client specifications.
Responsibilities
Production / Manufacturing
- Manage multiple production lines (up to two complete production sections) to ensure finished products meet quality standards / client specifications / timeline.
- Monitor the use of raw materials and contribute to minimizing waste.
- Supervise the use of machinery at all stations by production staff in line with established guidelines to maximize output and achieve efficiency.
- Analyse LN reports to determine variances.
- Oversee the use of LN to ensure all materials and hours are immediately logged in the system.
- Make sure all orders are closed in LN when all finished products are transferred to their respective warehouse.
Liaison & Coordination
- Liaise with maintenance to establish the required preventive maintenance and corrections to ensure maximum availability of machinery under his area.
- Coordinate with the store to ensure raw materials are available to meet the production schedule.
- Liaise with the technical staff regarding any issues that delay the manufacturing and delivery schedule.
- Coordinate with QC personnel to ensure final products are tested, labelled and released for final delivery.
- In conjunction with QC personnel identify defective products and recommend corrective actions or repairs.
- Liaise with the scheduling and project team to ensure on time completion of all produced items.

- Comply with operational procedures and instructions when performing all job tasks and activities.

HSSE
- Develop a safety culture by ensuring all staff comply with HSE policies and procedures.
- Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting and review of QHSE performances as required.
- Ensure all production stations are clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents.
- Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions.
- Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks.
- Report unsafe acts, incidents or safety violations.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering with 3-5 yrs experience. Manufacturing experience, preferably in fiberglass is a plus
Job-Specific Skills:
- Knowledge of pipe machinery and production processes
- Knowledge of product specifications
- Knowledge of Materials (Hazards, Shelf Life, Storage Conditions, Resin Mixing)
- Knowledge of quality standards / QA QC Process
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blue prints
