Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in software development and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate has a product-oriented mindset, excels in Agile environments, and is capable of translating complex business processes into clear, actionable user stories while keeping user needs at the center of product decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
  • Translate business requirements and processes into clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, developers, and Scrum teams to deliver high-quality product increments.
  • Lead Agile (Scrum) ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Analyze business processes, identify gaps, evaluate solutions, and propose improvements for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clarity of scope and priorities.
  • Drive product decisions using a user-centric and data-driven approach.
  • Support the development team by providing functional insights and technical understanding from an ex-developer perspective.
  • Manage and prioritize competing demands while ensuring timely delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner.
  • Strong experience working in AgileScrum environments using tools such as JIRA.
  • Solid understanding of business processes, workflows, and activities.
  • Proven ability to create and manage user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Background as a software developer is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Product-minded, user-centric approach to decision making.
  • Experience managing teams using Agile principles; knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Willing to work Work From Office (WFO).
