The Payment team, best known for their flagship product: ShopeePay, aims to develop a mature, world-class payment platform connecting individuals and businesses within Shopee ecosystem. Beyond ShopeePay, the Team also connects with a large number of local financial institutions to serve billions of Shopee and Monee users across the different markets.
Together, we aim to reach the forefront of cashless payment technology by providing a more accessible, secure and reliable payment network that empowers individuals as well as micro, small and medium enterprises around the globe.
Job Description
- Define and drive product strategy by building product roadmap to achieve product goals
- Build product solutions for both internal and external end-users
- Initiate, analyse, propose, and launch new product ideas (product development)
- Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and product requirement documents
- Analyse product performance and identify opportunities to improve existing products
- Oversee and work closely with business teams to support product launches and go-to-market plan
- Conduct market intelligence to maintain competitiveness and profitability of product offering
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and Designer on feature and UI/UX implementations
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of product management experience, preferably in fintech, payments, or e-commerce platforms.
- Strong communication skills—able to articulate complex business and technical concepts clearly in both written and spoken forms, and facilitate alignment among diverse stakeholders.
- Solid analytical and logical thinking abilities, with experience using data to drive product decisions, prioritize features, and evaluate performance.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, operations, compliance, and business units.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset, with the ability to lead initiatives end-to-end in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Experience collaborating with external partners (e.g., payment service providers, banks, merchants) is a plus.
- Familiarity with payment flows, transaction lifecycle, risk controls, or API-based products is an advantage.
- Strong team spirit and willingness to contribute beyond defined responsibilities.
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving for results.
