Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Development Staff to join our innovative team at PT Japfa Food Indonesia. This role is crucial in assisting with the research, development, and implementation of new food products and improving existing ones, ensuring they meet market demands, quality standards, and company objectives.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Assist in conducting market research to identify consumer needs, trends, and competitive products.
- Support the development and testing of new product concepts, formulations, and recipes from ideation to pilot production.
- Prepare and manage samples for sensory evaluation, shelf-life testing, and other quality assurance tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Production, and Quality Assurance to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all product development activities, including formulations, processes, and test results.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating new raw materials and ingredients, ensuring compliance with quality and cost standards.
- Contribute to the optimization of existing product formulations and processes to improve quality, cost-efficiency, and production scalability.
- Ensure all product development activities adhere to food safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on product development progress and findings.
Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in product development within the food industry, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong understanding of food science principles, food processing, and ingredient functionality.
- Experience with recipe formulation, sensory evaluation, and quality control processes.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
