Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Development Staff to join our innovative team at PT Japfa Food Indonesia. This role will contribute to the research, development, and improvement of our diverse food product portfolio.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the conceptualization, formulation, and development of new food products and product line extensions, in line with market trends and company objectives.
- Conduct ingredient research, supplier evaluation, and raw material qualification to ensure product quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform laboratory and pilot plant trials, including sample preparation, sensory evaluation, and physical/chemical analysis of food products.
- Document all experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately and comprehensively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Production, and Quality Assurance throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Support the scale-up process from laboratory to production, ensuring consistent product quality and process efficiency.
- Participate in consumer testing and feedback analysis to refine product formulations and improve consumer acceptance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food industry regulations, trends, and technological advancements.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and other relevant documentation for new and existing products.
- Assist in troubleshooting product-related issues and implementing corrective actions.
Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in product development within the food industry, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong understanding of food science principles, ingredient functionality, and food processing technologies.
- Proven ability to conduct laboratory experiments and analyze results accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to product innovation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of food safety standards and quality control principles.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
Tanggung Jawab
- Membantu dalam konseptualisasi, formulasi, dan pengembangan produk makanan baru maupun pengembangan lini produk yang sudah ada, sejalan dengan tren pasar dan tujuan perusahaan.
- Melakukan riset bahan baku, evaluasi pemasok, dan kualifikasi bahan baku guna memastikan kualitas, keamanan, dan efisiensi biaya produk.
- Melaksanakan uji laboratorium dan pilot plant, termasuk persiapan sampel, evaluasi sensorik, serta analisis fisik dan kimia produk pangan.
- Mendokumentasikan seluruh prosedur eksperimen, observasi, dan hasil secara akurat dan komprehensif.
- Berkolaborasi dengan tim lintas fungsi, termasuk R&D, Marketing, Produksi, dan Quality Assurance selama seluruh siklus pengembangan produk.
- Mendukung proses scale-up dari laboratorium ke produksi dengan memastikan konsistensi kualitas produk dan efisiensi proses.
Kualifikasi
- Pendidikan minimal S1 Teknologi Pangan, Ilmu Pangan, atau bidang terkait.
- Memiliki pengalaman 1-3 tahun di bidang pengembangan produk dalam industri makanan, lebih disukai pada perusahaan FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods).
- Memahami prinsip-prinsip ilmu pangan, fungsi bahan baku, serta teknologi pengolahan makanan dengan baik.
- Memiliki kemampuan yang terbukti dalam melakukan eksperimen laboratorium dan menganalisis hasil secara akurat.
- Mempunyai kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik serta pendekatan proaktif terhadap inovasi produk.
- Mampu bekerja secara mandiri maupun dalam tim.
- Memiliki kemampuan komunikasi dan interpersonal yang baik, dengan penguasaan Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris lisan maupun tulisan.
