About the Job
As a Procurement Manager, you are responsible to support the procurement and supply chain functions within the Food & Beverage sector by analyzing purchasing data, monitoring supplier performance, managing cost controls, and ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and sustainability standards. This role plays a critical part in optimizing sourcing strategies, controlling raw material costs, and supporting uninterrupted production.
What will you be doing
- Analyze procurement data related to raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and indirect spend to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier performance to support sourcing and negotiation strategies
- Support supplier selection, evaluation, and onboarding in line with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements
- Track purchase orders, contracts, and pricing to ensure compliance with agreed terms
- Prepare procurement reports, dashboards, and forecasts for management review
- Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Finance teams to align procurement plans with production needs
- Assist in demand planning and inventory optimization to minimize shortages, waste, and excess stock
- Support audits and documentation related to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSSC, FDA, local regulations)
- Identify risks in the supply chain and recommend mitigation strategies
What do we look for
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in Procurement, preferably within the Food & Beverage industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and market trends
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Excel; Power BI or similar tools is a plus
- Understanding of food ingredients, packaging materials, and food safety regulations is highly desirable
