Main Responsibilities
- Daily process monitoring: Track production results (grades, pH, density, in-process stocks, etc.), compare them against targets, and raise alerts in case of deviations;
- Sampling and testing management: Plan and supervise routine samples (solutions, pulps, dore); conduct or assist in lab-scale tests (bottle roll cyanidation, particle size analysis);
- Data analysis and reporting: Compile daily and monthly data, produce performance reports, identify deviations, and suggest improvement actions;
- Contribution to continuous improvement: Lead or participate in small optimization projects (local Kaizen) and support Lean initiatives within the team;
- Operational support: Prepare samples, enter results, and perform field measurements (pH, density, etc.).
Required Skills
- Technical knowledge of the process: Solid understanding of ore treatment circuits and metallurgical fundamentals, with the ability to quickly deepen knowledge in an industrial context;
- Analytical skills & attention to detail: Ability to detect process anomalies, use data effectively (Excel, trends, standard deviations), and propose corrective hypotheses;
- Rigor and reliability: Methodical in handling samples and data, with strict adherence to quality, safety, and HSE procedures;
- Curiosity and growth mindset: Eagerness to learn continuously (tools, methods, processes), increase autonomy, and contribute to improvement projects;
- Communication and teamwork: Comfortable working with production and laboratory teams and clearly communicating findings and results.
- Excel & Reporting: Strong command of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts); knowledge of or willingness to learn Power BI is a plus;
- Field and lab tools: Proficient in or quick to learn the use of measurement instruments (pH meter, Marcy scale, portable densimeter) and lab techniques;
- Quality / Lean tools: Familiar with 5S, 5 Whys, quality checklists, or non-conformity forms. Active participation in continuous improvement expected.
Education & Experience
- Engineering degree in Metallurgy, Process Engineering, or a related field;
- Solid foundational knowledge in metallurgy, particularly in gold processing operations, with the ability to deepen skills in an industrial setting.
- Confirmed profile with 3 to 4 years of experience in process quality control or metallurgy; alternatively, a successful first experience in a similar role with strong growth potential.
