Process Engineer Coconut Crushing Facility

About the Role
We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our operations at a large-scale Coconut Crushing Facility in Indonesia. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing business in the food/agri-processing sector, focused on extracting high-quality coconut oil and related by-products.
The Process Engineer will play a key role in ensuring efficient, safe, and sustainable production processes, while driving improvements in productivity, energy use, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize daily plant operations for coconut oil extraction and refining.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
- Implement and maintain process control systems to achieve consistent product quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams on process-related projects.
- Prepare process documentation, SOPs, and training materials for operators.
- Support commissioning, start-up, and scale-up of new equipment or technologies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years experience in a process engineering role within food, edible oils, or agro-processing industries.
- Strong knowledge of oil extraction, crushing, and refining processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with process safety, utilities (steam, water, effluent treatment), and automation systems (PLC/SCADA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a plus.
