The Classroom Teacher is responsible for providing quality education to young learners in their first year of formal schooling. The teacher must create a safe and nurturing environment that supports the intellectual, social, and emotional development of their students. The Classroom Teacher will work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of their students.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in an international school setting.
Relevant degree and teaching certifications. Having a Primary Education or an Early Year Degree will be an advantage.
Minimum 2 work references from previous employers.
Cambridge, MAP, and WIDA experience a plus.
Having experience working with SEN students will be an advantage.
Police record check.
Proficiency in English language.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young learners.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Passion for teaching and a commitment to providing quality education to young learners.
Proficient computer skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons that meet the needs of young learners, including activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Use a variety of instructional strategies and materials that are engaging and appropriate for young learners.
Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and social-emotional growth.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and other members of school community.
Regularly assess and monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to meet individual student needs.
Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to plan and implement a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum.
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and school activities.
Attend and participate in school meetings, professional development activities, and other school-related events as required.
Participate in extracurricular activities, excursions, events, any other activities.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior.
Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
Teaching primary school classes in developing student&aposs literacy and numeracy skills and any other subjects according to the schools curriculum.
Provide differentiated learning that meets the needs of all children.
