About the position:
At Bali Island School, the comprehensive, inquiry-driven approach to teaching and learning is anchored in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), led by the Primary Principal, who also acts as the PYP coordinator.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master&aposs in Education
- 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience (coordinator level or above) in a school setting
- Extensive international experience, including IB world schools and internationally accredited schools.
- Previous experience working with Toddle.
- Demonstrated ability to lead learning-focused workshops for teaching staff and parents.
- Experience in managing and working with Early Years sections within schools and managing transitions between Early Years, Primary Years Programme, and the Middle Years Programme.
- Significant experience in leading the PYP and curriculum documentation and development, including integrating literacy and numeracy into the PYP Programme.
- Experience leading in inclusive environments to support a diverse range of student needs.
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of current research and best practice in both Early Years and Elementary Education.
- Leadership practices that support and model the expectations of an IB Education, and experience in coaching teaching staff in these IB expectations.
- Leadership practices that prioritise student learning and sense of community.
- Leadership practices that ensure a sense of team and collaboration amongst teaching staff and others within the school comunity
