As the Head of Marketing in Korea, you will lead the overall marketing strategy and execution to drive brand growth, user engagement, and business impact. You'll work closely with regional teams, local business leaders, and your own talented marketing team. - Lead the end-to-end marketing strategy for Shopee Korea, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Oversee and guide all marketing functions, including Brand, Performance, Partnerships, PR/Comms, and Engagement initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders to design and execute impactful marketing plans that drive user acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and campaign performance to continuously optimize strategies.
- Build strong, long-term partnerships with key external stakeholders such as media, agencies, and brand partners.
- Develop and inspire a high-performing marketing team by fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and growth.
- Align closely with regional marketing teams to ensure consistency while adapting strategies to the Korean market.
- Lead engagement and community-building initiatives to strengthen Shopee's brand presence and user connection in Korea.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher with 10+ years of marketing experience, including leadership roles in multinational companies or the tech/e-commerce sector.
- Proven expertise in integrated marketing strategy, covering both online and offline channels.
- Strong track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale campaigns with measurable impact.
- Excellent understanding of the Korean consumer landscape, digital ecosystem, and competitive dynamics.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and execution skills.
- Collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills in Korean and English (proficiency in other Asian languages, such as Japanese, is a plus but not required).
