Plant Operations Engineer

Location: Sei Mangkei, North Sumatra

Contract: 12 Months

Role Summary

Provides engineering support for safe and stable pilot-plant operation, with emphasis on process monitoring, troubleshooting and performance improvement. Only locals already residing in the region will be considered for the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor process conditions and identify abnormal trends.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment problems.
• Analyse operating data, alarms and equipment performance.
• Support plant start-up, shutdown and operating trials.
• Assist with performance monitoring and optimisation.
• Prepare and improve operating and troubleshooting procedures.
• Support RCA, incident investigations, HAZOP actions and MOC activities.
• Prepare technical summaries and operating reports.

Requirements

• S1 in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years relevant process-plant experience preferred, but fresh grads are welcomed to apply.
• Good understanding of process equipment, instrumentation and process control.
• Able to read PFDs and P&IDs.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on plant operations experience preferred.
• Shift work is required.
• Good command of English to communicate with Head Office.
