Senior Plant Operations Engineer

Location: Sei Mangkei, North Sumatra

Contract: 12 Months

Role Summary

Provides technical leadership for pilot-plant operation and acts as the main escalation point for process troubleshooting, performance analysis and operational improvement. Only locals already residing in the region will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting of significant plant and equipment issues.
• Analyse plant performance, trends, alarms and operating data.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis for trips and recurring problems.
• Recommend corrective actions and operational improvements.
• Support process optimisation and controlled plant trials.
• Participate in HAZOP, MOC and process-safety reviews.
• Review operating, start-up, shutdown and troubleshooting procedures.
• Mentor Plant Operations Engineers and Technicians.
• Prepare and review technical reports for management.
• Manage operational scheduling where required.

Requirements

• S1 in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimally 4 years of relevant process-industry experience.
• Strong hands-on plant troubleshooting experience.
• Good knowledge of process equipment, process control and plant performance analysis.
• Familiar with RCA, HAZOP and MOC.
• Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills.
• Good command of English to communicate with Head Office.
• Shift work is required.
