About the Role
Our client is a Singapore-based, fast-growing IT SaaS platform. They are looking for a driven Backend Developer to join their core product team. In this role, the successful candidate will work directly with their Lead Engineers and Founder to build and scale the backend systems powering their platform. They will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's capabilitiessolving complex, real-world problems for companies managing remote IT operations globally.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Scale: Build and maintain robust, scalable backend systems using PHP (Laravel).
- Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code that sets a standard for their team.
- Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into high-performance technical solutions.
- Mentor: Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Maintain: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
- Optimize: Deploy applications via AWS and continuously refine their DevOps and CI/CD practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in backend development specifically using PHP and Laravel.
- API Mastery: Proven track record of building and securing RESTful APIs.
- Technical Depth: Strong understanding of software design patterns, architectural principles, and clean code practices.
- Database Management: Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including advanced query optimization.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, CloudWatch) for deployment and monitoring.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a bias for action in lean environments.
Bonus Points (Nice to Have)
- Experience integrating with external platforms via OAuth, webhooks, or third-party SDKs.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Previous experience in a startup or remote-first scaling environment.
