Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Lead the company's people relations and industrial relations agenda to ensure stable, compliant, and constructive workforce relations across all operations. Oversee union engagement, grievance handling, and labor compliance while supporting business continuity during transformation and workforce transitions.

Accountabilities:

  • Own engagement with labor unions and employee representatives across all operations
  • Maintain constructive and stable workforce relations aligned with business needs.
  • Lead and/or support collective labor agreement (CLA) discussions and negotiations
  • Govern grievance processes, investigations, and workplace dispute resolution.
  • Ensure timely, fair, and consistent handling of employee relations cases.
  • Mitigate escalation risks to management, unions, and regulators
  • Ensure compliance with Indonesian labor laws, collective agreements, and company policies.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on workforce practices.
  • Support audits, legal reviews, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Provide IR advisory on redeployment, restructuring, and workforce adjustments.
  • Ensure workforce actions are executed in compliance with regulations and agreements.
  • Identify and mitigate industrial relations risks in transformation initiatives.
  • Define and enforce IR frameworks, policies, and escalation protocols.
  • Ensure consistent application of employee relations practices across all sites.
  • Strengthen documentation, controls, and governance over IR processes
  • Act as the central IR interface between management, unions, regulators, and legal.
  • Support leadership communication on sensitive workforce matters.
  • Proactively identify workforce risks and maintain stability across operations.
