Job Description

BACKGROUND

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances childrens rights and equality for girls. In Indonesia, Plan International has operated since 1969, and in 2017 Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (Plan Indonesia) was established as a national entity of Plan International in Indonesia. YPII is currently implementing its Country Strategy 5 (CS 5) covering the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 to 2027, where the countrys purpose is in line with the global Plan Internationals Purpose to advance childrens rights and equality for girls. Our ambition is to enable at least 3 million girls and young women to Learn (gain skills for work), Lead (empower to take action on issues that matter to them), Decide (have control over their own lives and bodies), and Thrive (grow healthy and protected from violence). It means that we will take action to identify and facilitate the removal of obstacles that prevent children, especially girls, and young women from enjoying their rights and participating fully in Indonesian society. This goal will be achieved by implementing quality programmes and projects as well as influencing decision-makers and key stakeholders to make the required changes.

ROLE PURPOSE

The People & Culture Internship will assist the P&C team in supporting P&Cs current projects.

DIMENSION OF ROLE

  • Internship does not get remuneration, but substitute costs for transport, communication, data, and other costs incurred due to internship activities amounting to Rp 1,500,000 / month (gross). Plan Indonesia cannot charge any other fees for the internship without the supervisors approval.
  • The intern must provide their working tools such as laptops, modems, HPs, etc.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

To get better understanding and consistent practice, YPII needs to ensure that all mandatory policies are using the correct Bahasa Indonesia translation. In that even, YPII need intern to translate and review Plan International mandatory policies with Scope of Work:

1. Translate new / updated mandatory policies

2. Review and revised translated mandatory policies and standarized the format

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled as at least a 5th-semester bachelors degree of any major preferably Indonesian Language and Literature or any related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to translate texts accurately while maintaining context, tone, and style.
  • Good research skills to ensure accurate terminology and cultural relevance.
  • Attention to detail and strong proofreading/editing skills.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

Hybrid, online, and offline work patterns to Plan Indonesia offices (Pasar Minggu Jakarta) at least twice every 1 week (if there is an additional request from the supervisor).
