We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Partnership Officer to lead and manage strategic relationships with Chinese suppliers, particularly in the domains of robotic machinery and software automation. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality sourcing, fostering long-term partnerships, and driving innovation through collaboration with leading Chinese technology providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Identification & Evaluation:
- Research and identify potential suppliers in China specializing in robotic machinery and automation software.
- Conduct due diligence and assess supplier capabilities, certifications, and compliance with international standards.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key supplier contacts.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and Chinese partners, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
Contract Negotiation & Compliance:
- Support contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company goals.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
Market Intelligence & Innovation:
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in robotics and automation from China.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to internal teams based on supplier capabilities and market developments.
Cross-functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to align supplier capabilities with project requirements.
- Facilitate technical discussions and support onboarding of new technologies from suppliers.
Proposal & Presentation Support
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentation materials, and documentation in both Mandarin and English.
- Support the team during product or solution presentations to potential clients or partners.
- Understanding the product being sold in both hardware and software
Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate with product, technical, and operational teams to ensure solutions are aligned with market needs.
- Help prepare regular business activity reports for supervisors.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1-2 years experience in supplier management, preferably with Chinese companies in the tech or manufacturing sector.
- Language Skills:
- (MUST HAVE) Mandarin: Very fluent (spoken & written) able to communicate formally with native speakers.
- English: Moderate able to understand work documents and engage in professional conversations.
- Strong understanding of robotic systems, automation software, and industrial machinery.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel to China for supplier visits and trade shows as needed.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Chinese business culture and regulatory environment.
- Technical background in robotics or automation is a plus.
