We are seeking an experienced and driven Operation Manager – Air Freight to oversee and manage end-to-end air freight operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient shipment handling, compliance with international regulations, service excellence, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of air freight operations within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and oversee daily freight forwarding operations (Air Freight).
- Ensure shipments are handled efficiently, on time, and in accordance with company service standards.
- Lead, manage, and develop the operations team to achieve performance targets and service KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, and relevant international and local regulations.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Finance) and external parties (airlines, shipping lines, agents, vendors, customs brokers).
- Control operational costs and improve process efficiency to maintain profitability.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance (KPIs such as on-time performance, productivity, service quality, and cost).
- Handle operational escalations and critical customer service issues.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and operational processes.
- Ensure accuracy of shipment documentation, proper billing coordination, and complete operational administration.
- Prepare regular operational reports for management and provide recommendations for improvement.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in air freight operations, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of air freight processes (export/import), IATA regulations, and customs procedures
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics systems
