DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership Role (Manager Position)
- General Leadership and managerial aspects:
- Sets short, medium and long term departmental goals & objectives based on Annual Cladtek Business Objectives & KPI.
- Develop strategy, monitor progress, and ensure that goals and objectives are achieved on time, within the approved budget and in compliance with the pertinent policy and procedures at Departmental Level.
- Drive & deliver change management as required to streamline & optimize operations, proactively align and strengthen operations efforts, systems, and personnel to suit the growth and development of the business and the drive for continual improvement.
- Builds and maintains good relationships and alignment with departments internally as well as externally with outside suppliers, contractors, and related government agencies to have smooth operation.
Organization and People Management:
- Review Organization Chart quarterly and make sure a review and/or adjustment is made to meet with business objective.
- Monthly departmental manpower planning & identify critical position and retain the critical people.
- Review with HR Departmental salary structure, compensation and benefit, in order to attract and retain employee.
- Communicate with employee 6 weeks before employee’s contract ends and communicate with HR the decision at the latest 2 weeks before end of contract.
Training & Competency Development:
- Review member’s competency against performance expectation at departmental level.
- Validating training matrix and annual training plan.
- Provide or facilitate coaching & mentoring for member with the support from Training Team
- Perform as Guest Speaker to represent Cladtek Management (including corporate materials), Subject Matter Expert for business related subject, and/or Trainer for Technical & Soft Skill program.
Career & Performance:
- Identify successor for critical position and identify developmental areas.
- Provide clear objectives for member to perform and ensure the people to add it into PMS form.
- Initiate performance mid-year review, by reviewing the progress and the next target.
- Conduct performance closing communication and provide rating.
- Behavior & Discipline:
- Provide high level direction to ensure operational excellence and discipline are achieved.
- Provide warning (level 1 and 2) and/or counselling for direct member.
- Provide immediate and/or not immediate award and/or appreciation to strengthen positive behaviors.
- Review departmental collective behavior with HR Industrial Relation and Policy to reduce people cases and optimize to policy to avoid negative behavior to be occurred in the future.
Technical Role:
- The position is overall responsible for creation and implementation of best practice Lean Vision, strategy, processes and improve operational performance fully in line with budget and schedule.
- Responsible for assigned KPI’s.
- Managing direct team members and coordination with other departments.
- Implement and support cultural change of work across the organisation and drive business improvement.
- Undertake continuous training and development towards lean implementation.
- Conducting audits for various work sections to ensure and sustain the lean related implementations like 5S and so on.
- Proposing and/or implementing upgrades to equipment as appropriate to the Company's continuous improvement processes.
- Validating the process for the proposed new design and welding techniques.
- Input towards to plant improved layout changes.
- Ensuring group roll out post successful implementation in all manufacturing facilities.
- Participate in management meetings and interface closely with production and projects to properly anticipate upcoming needs and requirements and ensure all required equipment and services are available in a timely manner.
- Procedure and WI improvements.
- Accountable for all the works done by him and all the inspection performed by the inspectors working under his command.
- Working within the company approved delegation of authority, budgets, and tasks assigned by superior.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Minimum: Bachelor Degree in Engineer related subject
KNOWLEDGE/COURSES
- Fluent/understand organization related tools and process.
- Familiarity or proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Presentation) and Adobe editor.
- Manufacture engineering process understanding.
- Process optimization understanding.
- API Standard understanding
- Digital application understanding and operating ability.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL COMPETENCE (SKILLS):
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in leadership role.
- Extensive experience with in CRA process for WOL, MLP, fabrication and others
- Experience in project management
- Good communication ability and interpersonal skill
- Fluent in business English communication in both written and spoken.
- Quick learner, good analytical skill, and complex problem-solving ability.
