Job Summary
The QMS & Sustainability Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and sustainability initiatives within Apical Dumai, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and promoting continuous improvement in quality and environmental performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Apical Dumai Sustainability standard in accordance with RSPO, ISCC, INS, ISPO, SMETA, Ecovadis and other relevant standards.
- Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage document control for QMS procedures, policies, and records.
- Monitor bookkeeping certified oil.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of sustainability programs
- Monitor and report on key sustainability performance indicators, including energy consumption, waste generation, water usage, and carbon emissions.
- Identify and implement opportunities for reducing environmental impact and improving resource efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations, permits, and licenses.
- Prepare and submit sustainability reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct training for employees on QMS procedures, sustainability policies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate quality and sustainability principles into daily operations.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a QMS and/or sustainability role, preferably within the manufacturing or palm oil industry.
- Proven knowledge and experience with RSPO, ISCC, INS, SMETA, Ecovadis.
- Familiarity with other relevant standards ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct internal audits and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluency in English
