MSC Cruises: Fireman (Sea Based)

Qualifications – Fireman;

1. Minimum 1–2 years of sea service experience
2. Experience in Deck or Engine Department is preferred
3. Experience in firefighting duties (fire patrol, emergency drills, use of firefighting equipment)
4. Must hold STCW Advanced Fire Fighting Certificate (mandatory)
5. Good knowledge of ship safety systems (SOLAS, ISM Code)
6. Ability to operate firefighting equipment (fire extinguishers, fire hoses, breathing apparatus)
7. Good command of English
8. Physically and medically fit for sea duty
9. Able to work in a multicultural environment
10. Strong safety awareness, discipline, and responsibility
11. Complete and valid documents (Passport, Seaman Book, etc.)

Preferred / Advantage

• Previous cruise ship experience
• Experience as Fire Patrol, Safety Staff, Oiler, or Deck Rating
• Background as a professional firefighter is a strong advantage
