MIS Operation Analyst (Contract Based)

Job Description:

• Monitor scheduled refresh cycles of Power BI dashboards to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve refresh failures, coordinating with IT or developers as needed.
• Maintain refresh schedules to align with business reporting requirements.
• Track dashboard usage, adoption rates, and user engagement.
• Generate reports and insights on usage patterns to support decision-making and identify training or communication needs.
• Proactively flag underutilized dashboards and recommend actions (e.g., enhancements, consolidation, or decommissioning).
• Perform regular health checks on dashboards to ensure performance, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Coordinate version control and manage updates/enhancements in collaboration with developers.
• Ensure proper documentation of dashboard inventory, refresh schedules, and maintenance activities.
• Act as the first point of contact for dashboard-related issues from business users.
• Provide support and guidance to users in navigating and interpreting dashboards.
• Escalate complex issues to MIS Developers or IT support when required.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance dashboard performance and monitoring.
• Support automation initiatives to reduce manual monitoring and reporting workload.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
• 13 years of experience in MIS, BI, Data Analytics, or related operational support role.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI (preferred) or other BI tools.
• Strong understanding of data refresh cycles, data sources, and basic SQL is an advantage.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data usage patterns and provide actionable insights.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
