Job Description Summary:
Assist in managing mill operations by ensuring effective maintenance, smooth processing activities, and optimal machine performance. The role is responsible for supporting preventive maintenance planning, monitoring production processes, and ensuring operational efficiency to meet company productivity and quality targets.
Job Description:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules based on machine specifications
- Prepare work programs aligned with maintenance plans, including estimating material usage
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper maintenance and repair execution
- Analyze laboratory processing results to evaluate machine performance and perform necessary adjustments or modifications
- Prepare monthly operational reports based on daily and weekly activities
- Maintain inventory records of machinery, equipment, and spare parts to support efficient material planning
- Monitor the loading of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) into lorries and ensure compliance with capacity standards
- Supervise boiler operations and monitor energy utilization for processing activities
- Conduct direct checks on CPO and kernel losses and validate against laboratory analysis results
- Report processing issues and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
- Make prompt and accurate decisions in handling operational issues and ensure effective coordination across teams
- Support operational efficiency and contribute to the overall profitability of the mill
- Assist in planning, developing, and optimizing workforce capability, including anticipating manpower needs within the Manufacturing Division
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in palm oil mill operations or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance and mill processing operations
- Familiarity with boiler operations and production processes is an advantage
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to read and interpret technical data and laboratory results
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Willing to be placed in mill/site locations
- Able to work under pressure and handle operational challenges effectively
- Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented
