We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Engineering Lead (Static) to lead all mechanical static engineering activities for ESSA's Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project. The role oversees the design, procurement, and installation of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, heaters, and tanks; from technology selection to commissioning. It requires strong technical expertise, coordination skills, and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Location: ESM Head Office, Jakarta Selatan & Site Plant
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years experience in static/mechanical engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industries.
- Proven experience in design, procurement, and installation of static equipment.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, PED or related international codes and standards.
- Experience across Technology Selection, BEP, FEED, EPC, and commissioning phases.
- Skilled in vendor coordination, inspection, QA/QC, and document reviews.
- Familiar with SMK3 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Experience in EPC tendering, bid evaluation, and mentoring are an advantage.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead static equipment design and engineering activities across all project phases.
- Develop and review specifications, datasheets, and vendor documents.
- Represent ESSA in design reviews, inspections, and technical meetings.
- Coordinate with EPCs and licensors to ensure equipment quality and compliance.
- Support field installation, mechanical completion, and pre-commissioning.
- Resolve site issues and ensure safety and technical integrity.
- Guide junior engineers and align priorities with project teams.
- Ensure compliance with SMK3, ISO 14001, and ESSA's safety culture.
