About The Role
Job Summary
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components. This role applies engineering knowledge to support the planning, testing, and implementation of mechanical and electromechanical systems, including perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to analyze the structural integrity of the designed components.
This job profile is intended for experienced professionals who apply practical knowledge of a job area and work independently with general supervision
Purpose of the job
Execute engineering Task and act as Subject Expert Matter on mechanical engineering analysis and stress analysis with FEA software.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
Analyze and calculate mechanical task issues such as stress analysis, etc.
Understand all advance mechanical engineering structural analysis, including stress concentration factors, ratio of stress to yield, etc.
Conduct advance analysis using Finite element Software, mainly with ANSYS Mechanical and its derivatives
Understand fundamental geometry modification
Understand advance meshing
Have full understanding of bounndary condition (constraints and force) application
Have understanding about fluid dynamic and CFD
Lead and conduct as required meetings with shop personnel, customers and others.
Perform communication / contact with customers on the technical issues or work progress.
Able to explain highly complex structural analysis in easily understandable terms
- Provide solutions for problems while performing the project with regards to quality, time, and cost.
- Prepare engineering report, including progress report.
Field Assignment
Lead engineer if needed for field service activity
Communicate with third party and / or with customer for technical assistance required.
Make and issue progress reports.
Vendor Qualification & Monitoring
Perform monitoring of vendors.
Communicate with vendors for feedback.
Quality Issues
Identify and develop new procedures as required
Support ISO Coordinator to monitor implementation of existing procedures in shop and conduct required training for co-workers.
Monitor and issue engineering quality objective report.
Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory :
Preferable Master degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/lightweigt structure Engineering, Bachelor with relevant experience will be strongly considered.
Having minimum 3 year experience in handling stress analysis and FE analysis, preferably within ANSYS Workbench framework
Experience in CAD Software, preferably Inventor or ANSYS Workbench derivatives
Experience in MS Windows environments, especially for presenting and reporting activities.
Have passion to get deep in FEA knowledge
Value-add
Having minimum 3 year experiences in turbo-machinery or rotating equipment repair
Having minimum 3 year in API 687 exposure
Having experience/exposure in Fluid Dynamic Analysis, preferably within ANSYS Fluent/CFX framework
Having exposure to project-based workflow, project planning (such as with MS Project), timeline management, etc.
