Job Overview

We are looking for Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our Indonesia team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing design implementations during the construction phase, ensuring that all mechanical systems meet design specifications and industry standards. They will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and construction teams to resolve any design-related issues, review design documents for accuracy and compliance, ensuring all mechanical installations align with project timelines and budgets.


Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Proficient in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, MEP systems, and construction practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical to various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in buildings construction projects, either from MEP design consultancy, resident engineer, or construction environment
  • Experience in Data Centres projects or similar critical facilities would be advantageous
  • Experience in a site-based role, demonstrating practical knowledge of on-site engineering operations.

  • Design Oversight: Review and approve mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction activities, assess mechanical installations, and ensure adherence to design plans.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide real-time technical support and solutions for any design-related issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines (e.g., electrical, plumbing) to coordinate project activities and resolve challenges.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, site visit reports, and project changes ensure all documentation is properly archived and accessible.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, including design teams, construction crews, and clients, to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and environmental policies.
  • Change Management: Assess and review any design changes or deviations from plans and provide recommendations for approval.
