Position Overview

This position is responsible for developing and executing the hospital's marketing, branding, business development, and patient acquisition strategies to enhance market presence, strengthen the hospital's reputation, and drive sustainable growth. The role oversees marketing campaigns, digital marketing, corporate partnerships, referral network development, community engagement, and promotional activities to support the hospital's strategic and financial objectives.

The Marketing Manager collaborates closely with clinical, operational, and executive leadership teams to position the hospital as a preferred healthcare provider while ensuring all marketing activities comply with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Key Outcomes

Pre-Commissioning Phase

  • Develop and implement the hospital's marketing, branding, and business development strategy to support a successful hospital launch.
  • Establish brand identity, marketing collateral, digital platforms, and communication channels before hospital opening.
  • Build strategic relationships with corporate clients, insurers, government agencies, referring physicians, and community stakeholders.
  • Generate market awareness and pre-opening engagement to create demand for hospital services.
  • Develop referral networks and partnership agreements to support patient acquisition from Day One operations.
  • Ensure all marketing and promotional activities comply with healthcare regulations and corporate standards.

Commissioning Phase

  • Successfully execute hospital launch and opening campaigns to maximize market visibility and stakeholder engagement.
  • Achieve targeted levels of public awareness, community outreach, and corporate engagement prior to hospital opening.
  • Support operational readiness by ensuring all marketing materials, communication channels, and customer engagement processes are functional.
  • Facilitate successful launch events, media activities, and stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Establish mechanisms to monitor market response, patient inquiries, and referral activities.

Operational Phase

  • Achieve annual patient volume, revenue growth, and market share targets.
  • Increase utilization of hospital services through effective marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Strengthen hospital brand recognition and reputation as a preferred healthcare provider.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with corporate clients, insurance providers, government agencies, and referral partners.
  • Improve patient acquisition, retention, and loyalty through targeted engagement strategies.
  • Enhance digital presence, online reputation, and patient engagement across all communication platforms.
  • Deliver measurable return on investment (ROI) for marketing and business development activities.
  • Support the successful introduction and growth of new clinical services, specialty programs, and healthcare initiatives.
  • Achieve high levels of stakeholder satisfaction, including patients, physicians, corporate partners, and community organizations.
  • Contribute to the hospital's strategic growth, sustainability, and competitive positioning within the healthcare market.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing and Business Development

  • Develop and execute the hospital's marketing, branding, and business development strategies in alignment with organizational goals and growth objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and customer insights studies to identify opportunities and market trends.
  • Develop annual marketing plans, budgets, and performance targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue-generating initiatives.

Brand Management and Corporate Communications

  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen the hospital's brand identity and market positioning.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials, digital platforms, and communication channels.
  • Develop promotional materials, corporate profiles, presentations, newsletters, and marketing collateral.
  • Manage media relations, public relations activities, and corporate communications.

Corporate Relations and Business Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, insurance companies, TPAs, government agencies, embassies, and healthcare partners.
  • Develop and manage corporate healthcare programs, medical check-up packages, and strategic partnerships.
  • Expand referral networks through engagement with physicians, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare providers.
  • Negotiate and coordinate partnership agreements to support business growth objectives.

Digital Marketing and Customer Engagement

  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website management, social media, search engine optimization (SEO), online advertising, and email marketing.
  • Monitor and enhance the hospital's online reputation and digital presence.
  • Develop patient education campaigns and health awareness programs.
  • Analyze digital marketing performance and implement improvement strategies to increase engagement and lead generation.

Community Outreach and Events Management

  • Plan and execute health talks, seminars, webinars, community outreach activities, and promotional events.
  • Coordinate hospital participation in exhibitions, conferences, and healthcare industry events.
  • Develop programs that strengthen community engagement and public awareness of hospital services.

Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Support

  • Develop and implement pre-opening marketing and branding strategies for hospital launch.
  • Coordinate launch campaigns, stakeholder engagement activities, and media events.
  • Establish referral networks, corporate partnerships, and market awareness prior to hospital opening.
  • Support operational readiness by ensuring all marketing systems, communication channels, and promotional materials are prepared before go-live.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Establish and monitor marketing and business development KPIs.
  • Track patient acquisition, referral sources, campaign performance, market share, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Prepare regular reports and recommendations for senior management.
  • Utilize data analytics to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial and Resource Management

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and marketing expenditures.
  • Ensure effective allocation and utilization of marketing resources.
  • Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships with advertising agencies, media partners, and external service providers.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop marketing team members.
  • Establish performance objectives and professional development plans.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, healthcare advertising regulations, and ethical marketing standards.

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in marketing, business development, corporate relations, or commercial management.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or managerial experience.
  • Experience in healthcare, hospitals, insurance, pharmaceutical, hospitality, or service industries is preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful marketing and business development strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving patient acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion targets.
  • Willing to be located in Depok, West Java
