Job Description

Marine Superintendent – Tanker

Location: Jakarta Selatan

Role

Manage and oversee the safe and efficient operations of assigned tanker vessels on a day-to-day basis
Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies
Monitor vessel performance, including voyage execution, fuel efficiency, and cost control
Act as the key liaison between shipboard teams and shore-based management to ensure seamless communication and operational alignment
Lead and coordinate vessel inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions
Support technical and maintenance planning, including dry-docking and repair activities
Drive continuous improvement in safety, operational efficiency, and overall fleet performance

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or a related discipline
Proven seagoing experience as a Master on tanker vessels
Strong knowledge of tanker operations, maritime safety practices, and international regulations (e.g., IMO standards)
Demonstrated ability to manage vessel operations, troubleshoot issues, and make sound decisions under pressure
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
