To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:
- A Bachelor&aposs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting roles, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm or multinational company is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.), PowerPoint, and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Familiarity with reporting tools and automation platforms (e.g., OneStream, Power BI) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local tax regulations
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Team player with leadership capability and a proactive, hands-on approach in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including but not limited to accruals, prepayments, depreciation, amortization, and FX revaluation.
- Compile and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements for internal management and regional consolidation.
- Review and approve invoices from Accounts Payable, ensuring correct coding, cost center allocation, and appropriate documentation.
- Investigate and rectify misclassifications in Chart of Accounts and ensure timely corrections of posting errors.
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across entities.
- Prepare interest calculations for debt financing and manage lease accounting in compliance with IFRS 16.
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to support ad hoc reporting requirements and variance analyses.
- Provide support for the annual budgeting process and assist in forecasting exercises.
- Oversee the end-to-end billing process to ensure timely and accurate issuance of invoices.
- Monitor aging reports and lead the collection process to optimize cash flow and minimize overdue receivables.
- Liaise with commercial and legal teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings (VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax, etc.).
- Manage relationships with external tax consultants and local tax authorities, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of tax audits or disputes.
- Monitor tax regulation changes and assess their impact on business operations and financial reporting.
- Act as the in-house subject matter expert for accounting standards, particularly IFRS, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
- Lead coordination with external auditors for both statutory and group audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit queries.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures aligned with global standards and local statutory requirements.
- Drive finance automation initiatives, including the implementation and optimization of OneStream for regional balance sheet and cash flow automation.
- Lead the regional rollout of P2P process optimization (BOSS Phase II), including process design, testing, training, and change management.
- Evaluate and implement tools and technologies to improve efficiency, standardization, and accuracy in finance operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team including:
Billing, Collection, and Tax team
Accounts Payable and Treasury team
