Summary
Legal Associate will support the company's legal and corporate governance functions. This role is responsible for drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing corporate legal documentation, and providing legal advice to support business operations while minimizing legal risks.
Job Description
- Prepare, review, and ensure all corporate legal documents comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft, negotiate, and review agreements with tenants, business partners, vendors, and other third parties.
- Provide legal advice and opinions to management on corporate and business-related matters.
- Manage and maintain the company's legal documentation, including corporate records, licenses, permits, legal correspondence, and other statutory documents.
- Coordinate with notaries, external legal counsel, and government authorities as required.
- Monitor and ensure the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations while identifying and mitigating legal risks.
- Support legal matters related to business development initiatives, strategic partnerships, and corporate projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Corporate Legal or a related legal function.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, business licensing, regulatory compliance, and commercial regulations.
- Hands-on experience in managing business licensing and corporate compliance processes, beyond theoretical knowledge.
- Excellent legal drafting, contract review, and legal writing skills.
- Proven ability to independently draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements, rather than solely revising third-party drafts.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Preferred: Experience handling tenant agreements, commercial lease contracts, hospitality, retail, property management, or businesses in the creative industry.
