Lead Researcher (4 Positions)
Role Focus:
Design and lead high-impact learning activities while mentoring participants throughout
their applied AIML research journey, bridging academic exploration with real-world Apple
technology integration.
Responsibilities:
- Design engaging and challenge-based learning activities aligned with the Apple Machine Learning Research Lab curriculum.
- Serve as academic and technical mentors for students, providing guidance in research direction, project execution, and Apple ML technology implementation.
- Lead and supervise applied machine learning research projects across interdisciplinary themes (business, healthcare, creative industries, psychology, etc.) using Apple platforms (iOS, watchOS, macOS).
- Collaborate closely with Apple AIML expert and ensure research excellence across all domains.
- Oversee the development of proof-of-concept (PoC) systems using Core ML, Create ML, and related Apple technologies.
- Act as principal investigators in research collaborations and industry-linked projects, ensuring technical relevance and educational value.
- Support the generation of patents or academic publications as outcomes of successful projects, though publication is not the primary objective.
Requirements:
Master&aposs degree in Machine Learning, AI, or related Computer Science fields.
510 years of research experience in academia or R&D.
Demonstrated success in both academic publications and industrial AIML
implementations.
Strong hands-on experience with industry-standard ML frameworks such as
TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Keras.
Familiarity with Apples ML frameworks (Core ML, Create ML, etc.).
