Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager Industry (Chemical Process Industry) to drive sales growth and strengthen market presence across Indonesia. This role is responsible for developing the Chemical Process Industry (CPI) market segment with strong exposure to Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Pulp & Paper, and Palm Oil industries, delivering profitable growth, and positioning the company as a preferred piping systems and industrial solutions provider in Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and expand sales activities within Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Pulp & Paper, and Palm Oil market segments for Chemical Process Industry (CPI) applications in Indonesia.
- Promote piping systems, automation systems, and process-related industrial solutions to establish the company as a preferred partner in the CPI market.
- Define and implement CPI segment sales strategy in collaboration with Market Segment Manager (Industry) and Managing Director.
- Identify, develop, and secure new projects and key accounts across plant owners, industrial manufacturers, EPCs, and contractors.
- Conduct regular visits to key industry clients within Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Pulp & Paper, and Palm Oil segments to strengthen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Deliver profitable growth through structured sales execution, pipeline management, and strategic account development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, EPCs, contractors, and subcontractors within CPI ecosystems.
- Engage with design consultants and contractors throughout the entire project life cycle, from early specification, tender stage, to project execution.
- Coordinate with distributors when necessary to ensure on-time supply and successful execution of major projects.
- Apply strong technical expertise in piping systems, welding technologies, and automation systems during technical discussions, specifications, exhibitions, and sales negotiations.
- Ensure full compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM reports, including project pipeline, OTP reports, market intelligence, and competitor analysis.
Job Requirements & Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, key account management, or business development within Industrial or Chemical Process Industry (CPI) segments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (Sales & Marketing qualification is a plus).
- Strong experience in Chemical Process Industry (CPI) is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of chemical processes related to Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Pulp & Paper, and Palm Oil industries.
- Familiar with industry clients and established network ecosystems within Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Pulp & Paper, and Palm Oil sectors, including owners, consultants, EPCs, and contractors across Chemical Process Industry (CPI).
- Proven experience selling industrial products and engineering services, including Piping systems, Valves, Pumps, Fittings, Process Automation solutions, and Mechanical & Electrical systems.
- Strong technical understanding of fluid transport systems, water treatment, chemical handling, and processing plant systems.
- Experience in automation systems (process automation, instrumentation, or integrated industrial solutions) is required.
- Strong sales, marketing, and CRM reporting skills.
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and interpret technical drawings/designs.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Willing to travel regularly to industrial sites and customer locations.
