Katalon (Junior) QA Engineer

Responsibilities

As a QA Automation Engineer specializing in Katalon, you will focus on building, improving, and sustaining automated test suites using Java, Python, and JavaScript. Your role involves executing automation testing across web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms, while supporting system reliability through seamless CI/CD pipeline integration. You are expected to analyze test results, identify potential issues, and provide actionable insights to enhance overall product quality. Leveraging Katalon Studio (minimum two years of hands-on experience), you will develop scalable and efficient automation solutions. Close collaboration with developers, manual QA teams, and product stakeholders is key to ensuring comprehensive test coverage and continuously elevating QA processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of practical experience as a QA Automation Engineer using Katalon Studio
• Proficient in automation scripting with Java, Python, and JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Katalon, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing methodologies
• Capable of designing, executing, and maintaining automated test cases, scenarios, and test strategies
• Experienced with version control systems including GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
• Strong background in Web UI and API automation testing
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
• Effective communicator who works well within cross-functional teams
