About the Role:
We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer who is detail-oriented, structured in approach, and passionate about delivering high-quality products. As part of the QA team in Jakarta, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and other QA engineers to validate features, write test cases, find bugs, and help us improve test processes. This role requires someone who takes ownership of bugs, communicates clearly, and can effectively debug and report issues using the right tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, maintain, and execute test cases for new and existing features.
- Log detailed bugs/issues using JIRA with clear steps to reproduce and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product managers during development cycles.
- Perform regression testing before production releases.
- Use tools like TestRail to manage test case repositories and document QA processes.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Debug issues through logs, API responses, or UI behavior and provide input to identify root causes.
- Follow up on open issues until resolution and ensure quality closure.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in manual QA or functional testing roles.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles.
- Ability to write clear, structured, and reusable test cases.
- Experience with: bug tracking tools like JIRA and test management tools like TestRail.
- Basic ability to read logs and debug issues (e.g., using Postman, browser console, or dev tools).
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Proactive attitude toward quality ownership and problem-solving.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to API testing tools (like Postman).
- Some knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Willingness to learn automation in the future.
