Job Description

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research on various topics to support informed decision-making
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
Ensure compliance with policy policies, relevant laws, and industry standards
Collaborate with business units to understand contractual requirements and provide guidance
Assist in preparing legal opinions and memorandum, to address specific legal issues
Assist in maintaining company records and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards
Support the preparation of board and shareholder meeting materials
Contribute to the drafting of resolutions and other company documentation
Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), and create relations of trust
Stay up-to-date with updates in laws and regulations relevant to fintech industry
Share legal insights and updates with the legal team and other stakeholders
Any other legal-related duties that may be required by the company

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Law from accredited and reputable university
Has experience minimum 3 years in legal industry
Excellent drafting skills
Fluent in both oral and written English, fluency in Chinese is an advantage
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of and familiarity with corporate, technology, and commercial law, employment, and data protection law considered an asset
Strong organizational, communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent analytical skills with the capacity of identifying all risks and proactively choosing the best solutions
Ability to work independently and cooperate with different teams
Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive attitude towards professional development.
