Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Japanese Teacher to design and deliver engaging, comprehensive Japanese language and culture instruction. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation, cultural appreciation, and proficiency development across all skill areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Japanese language lessons aligned with course objectives and standards (e.g., JLPT levels, ACTFL guidelines).
- Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Participate in department meetings, professional development workshops, and school events.
- Stay current with best practices in language pedagogy and Japanese language teaching resources.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with strong knowledge of of Japanese grammar, syntax, and phonology
- Teaching certification/license may be required
- Native or Near-Native proficiency in Japanese (min. JLPT N3 or equivalent).
- Proficient in using technology to enhance the learning experience
- Passion for education and a commitment to student success
