Role Description

This is a temporary on-site position for a Japanese Chef at our location in Jakarta. The role involves preparing and presenting traditional Japanese cuisine with precision, maintaining the highest culinary standards, and creating exceptional dining experiences. Daily responsibilities include menu planning, ingredient preparation, proper kitchen hygiene, and ensuring the consistent quality of all dishes. Collaboration with other kitchen staff and sourcing authentic ingredients will be key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in preparing and presenting authentic Japanese dishes, including sushi and sashimi
• Strong knowledge of Japanese culinary techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards
• Creativity in designing innovative and visually appealing Japanese menus
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Team collaboration and communication abilities
• Previous experience in a professional Japanese kitchen or relevant certification is a plus
• Passion for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to maintaining its traditions and quality
• Willingness to work in an on-site environment in Jakarta
