Key Responsibilities:

• Network Management

- Assist in configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections.

- Support firewall, router, and switch administration.

- Monitor network performance and escalate issues as needed.

• Data Center Operations

- Perform routine checks on servers, storage, and backup systems.

- Assist in hardware installation, cabling, and rack management.

- Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, power) and report anomalies.

• Incident & Problem Handling

- Respond to infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.

- Document resolutions and update knowledge base.

• Maintenance & Upgrades

- Support scheduled maintenance, patching, and firmware updates.

- Assist in implementing infrastructure changes under supervision.

• Compliance & Security

- Follow IT security policies and procedures.

- Assist in vulnerability scans and remediation activities.

• Documentation

- Maintain accurate records of configurations, inventory, and network diagrams.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in IT infrastructure support (network or data center)
• Basic knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing & Switching concepts, Firewall and VPN configuration
• Familiarity with: Windows Server / Linux administration, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Backup and storage solutions
• Understanding of: Network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, Nagios), Data center best practices (power, cooling, cabling)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, ITIL Foundation (added advantage)
