IT Engineer, FlexFlow / MES

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

About the role

The IT Engineer, FlexFlow / MES is responsible for supporting, maintaining, implementing and continuously improving FlexFlow and Manufacturing Execution System solutions used in manufacturing operations. The position provides technical support to production, supports new product and production-line implementations, performs system troubleshooting, and works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and other IT teams to maintain system stability, data integrity and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• System Support & Operations
• Provide day-to-day technical and functional support for FlexFlow / MES applications.
• Support system configuration, deployment and implementation for manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot production issues involving MES transactions, shop-floor systems, application functionality and system interfaces.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring system incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain system stability, availability and data integrity.
• Escalate complex technical issues to regional, corporate or development teams as required.
• Manufacturing & Project Support
• Support new production lines, NPI, product transfers, production ramp-up and manufacturing process changes.
• Work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering and Quality teams to understand system requirements.
• Participate in testing, validation and deployment of FlexFlow / MES changes and enhancements.
• Support integration and data flows between FlexFlow and related manufacturing or business applications.
• Participate in manufacturing automation and digitalization projects.
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing-system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Develop technical solutions to reduce recurring incidents and production disruptions.
• Participate in system upgrades, technology refreshes and continuous-improvement activities.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
• Maintain system configuration, troubleshooting and technical documentation.
• Develop support procedures and knowledge articles.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to IT technicians, junior team members and key users.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Relevant experience supporting manufacturing IT applications or MES environments is preferred.
• Experience within electronics manufacturing or a high-volume manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Manufacturing Execution Systems / shop-floor systems knowledge.
• FlexFlow or similar MES applications experience.
• Manufacturing process and traceability concepts understanding.
• Application and interface troubleshooting capability.
• SQL and database fundamentals knowledge.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
