About the Company
An Asian-based venture capital fund investing in global B2B enabling tech and fintech companies addressing the critical needs of financial institutions and corporates in Asia. The fund invests across Pre-Series A to Series B rounds into companies that have proven solutions in their home markets and are looking for value-added investors to help them expand across Asia.
The Role
This is a remote-flexible position working with senior team members based in Hong Kong and Singapore. You will play a broad role at the fund, assisting in sourcing and evaluating new opportunities, building investment theses, and supporting administrative activities. The ideal candidate will identify high-potential companies through bottom-up research and analysis, assist in the investment diligence and decision process, and help senior team members operate the fund.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Execution Conduct market research to identify promising startups. Screen inbound opportunities against investment criteria. Support due diligence processes and contribute to investment memo preparation.
- Investment Analysis Develop sector-specific investment theses through independent research. Evaluate company fundamentals, market dynamics, and growth potential. Participate in the investment decision-making process.
- Portfolio & Investor Management Support existing portfolio companies through follow-on financing analysis. Coordinate engagement between portfolio companies and the fund's advisor network. Contribute to quarterly LP reporting and investor communications.
- Fund Operations Maintain deal tracking systems and CRM. Assist with investor event coordination. Support brand-building initiatives and community engagement within the startup ecosystem.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in Venture Capital, Investment Banking, or Consulting
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal English
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a technical field
- Passion for working with early-stage companies
