Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our
Engineering Department (Industrial Engineer, and Digital Engineer) team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for active students to gain hands-on experience in the fabrication processes within a dynamic and professional environment.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under supervision and with guidance, you will be involved in learning and assisting with:
- Industrial Engineer:
- Assist in analyzing and improving fabrication yard processes to enhance productivity, safety, and material flow efficiency.
- Support time studies, layout optimization, work sequence planning, and resource utilization analysis to achieve cost-effective operations.
- Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives aimed at improving overall yard performance and reducing waste.
- Digital Engineer:
- Analyze and transform data using Power Query and Microsoft Fabric tools (Power BI, Warehouse, Lakehouse).
- Help troubleshoot data issues and ensure report accuracy.
- Support regular data uploads and data validation into internal systems.
- Assist in improving data processes and reporting workflows.
- Support ad-hoc tasks related to work packaging systems.
- Assist in basic data analysis and transformation using Power Query and Microsoft Fabric tools (Power BI, Warehouse, Lakehouse).
- Assist in checking data accuracy and helping identify basic data or reporting issues.
- Support regular data uploads and data validation into internal systems.
- Assist in maintaining and improving simple data processes and reporting workflows under supervision.
- Support ad-hoc tasks related to work packaging systems as needed.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Active student currently enrolled in D4/S1 programs, majoring in:
- Industrial Engineering: Industrial Engineering.
- Digital Engineering: Information Systems, Data/Informatics Engineering, or related major which have a basic to good understanding of data handling and data processing, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and be familiar with Power BI and Power Query through academic coursework or project-based experience.
- This Internship opportunities are available at McDermott Batam for a duration of 2 to 4 months.
- Applicants should not be participating in another internship program.
- Applicants should have strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to follow instructions.
